Avoid leaving any stagnant water on the floor that can harm the wood. For prefinished hardwood floors, in particular, use oil based cleaner.

Steam washing for hardwood floors is not recommended unless you are using a steam mop intended to clean wood floors. Steam with a random floor cleaner causes a loss on the sight of wood floors which begins to appear awkward and even harm the furniture. Thus, using oil based floor cleaner will not create any marks on the floor in long term.

To clean wood floors, you should not use bleach, ammonia, chlorine, and other abrasive chemicals. Since it can scratch the finish when mopping the hardwood floors. Using a floor clearer made of oil is preferable.

Avoid harsh detergents that make the floors' colour grey. Often, you should not use items such as vinyl floor cleaners on hardwood floors as they are tile cleaners.

The hardwood floor needs to dry pretty fast. By turning a roof fan or using a microfiber cloth you can speed up the process.

Thus, if you have a hardwood floor, then using an oil based floorcleaner is a perfect choice. And the detergents have multiple uses, thus can be used as the best floor cleaner detergent long with house wash cleaner.
